As part of the XII Festival International days of Frankophonia, the federal festival of Frankophonic arts FESTIART 2014 will be carried out in Togliatti.
On April 3rd and 4th, our city will welcome the participants from 12 Russian regions, where the rep offices of Alliance Francaise operate.
The festival is a series of contests where the winners of the regional elimination rounds will participate. For two days, highly-topical program will be prepared for the participants and the spectators.
April3
10:00, at Burevestnik cultural center, the Festival opening ceremony will take place. The festival will have a huge audience appeal thanks to the contest program that is presented in three main fields: a song performed in the French language, a stage production, and visual art. On this day, a professional jury will have to select the winners in the Stage Production nomination that will qualify for the main award an apprenticeship in France in summer of 2014, as well as 10 candidates in the nomination Song performed in French that will pass over to the next round. In the evening, at 18:30 of the same day, a unique master class from a well-known French chansonnier Jean-Pierre Berube will take place at Avtograds library. Berube wins the audiences with his wonderful baritone, the French chansons charm, and a masterly guitar-playing. During the master-classes, he teaches the attendees to his songs, thus making the audience prepared for the future dialogue that will undoubtedly take place during at the concert on April 4th.

April 4th
11:00 at Burevestnik cultural center, the 2nd round will be carried out in the nomination Song performed in French. Among theses lucky ones, two will become the owners of the study course in France.The nominees will also have a chance to perform at the FESTIART 2014 gala concert. Admittanceisfree!
At 19:00, at the stage of Togliatti Philharmonic Society, a gala concert of the federal festival FESTIART 2014 will take place. During Act 1, the contest winners will be presented. The major star of the Act 2 will be the French chansonnier Jean-Pierre Berube (this is his fourth visit to Togliatti!). His concert repertoire will include both his songs and popular French chanson hits. Especially for the gala concert, the representative from the Embassy of France, coordinator of Alliance Francaise in Russia, Ms. Mireille Cheval.

In the evening, after the concert, for all organizers and friends of the festival, a karaoke party will be held at VESNA restaurant. Informal communication, treats and drinks, dancing and karaoke singing all of this will be the finale of a bright event Frankophonia in Togliatti!
