Results of International Sled Dog Race "Volga Quest 2017"

The International Race "Volga Quest 2017" is over. The participants traveled the distance of 520 kilometers within Samara and Ulyanovsk regions, and the Republic of Tatarstan. The race started in Togliatti on February 11.

The first part of the competition (the distance "Middle Volga", 230 km) was held at the National Park "Samarskaya Luka" in three stages. The riders started each stage after an interval of two minutes. Arseniy Tyuryumin from Irkutsk was the first leader of this stage.

In the second stage Indra Zelenka from the Czech Republic became the forward, but after the third stage, Arseniy Tyuryumin took the leadership in the race again.

The winner in the category "Middle Volga" was Dmitry Smirnov, with the record of the last three stages of 25 hours and 45 minutes and 30 seconds.
