Days of the Swiss Culture
27 June 2018
June 30, and also on July 7 and 14, the Contemporary Art Department of the Togliatti Art Museum with the support of the Swiss Embassy in Moscow invites residents and guests of Togliatti to the Days of Swiss Culture.
"Quickgold" is a joint project of Russian photographer Andrei Gordasevich and Swiss sociologist Niels Krauer, in which they talk about where gold comes from, which has long become a symbol of wealth, and who engages in gold mining. At the heart of this visual history is the life of prospectors in the jungles of Peru, in the province of Madre de Dios. This is the place where hundreds of miners work every day. The photos, videos, texts tell about how their difficult everyday life is going on.
The exhibition Quickgold is expanded with a story about Switzerland, which will present the main historical landmarks, culture, sights, important persons of this country.
