Teachers from Togliatti in the Futian District (Shenzhen, China)

Togliatti has been fruitfully cooperating with the cities of the People's Republic of China for more than twenty years. 18 years ago, an agreement was signed on sister-city relations with the city of Luoyang, Henan Province. For many years, our partner is the city of Shenzhen, Guangdong Province.

Our cooperation is developing in the field of culture, sports, education, tourism and inter-municipal relations.

In 2016, the managment of the city of Togliatti and the Administrative District of Futian of Shenzhen made a decision to sign a sister-city agreement. At the same time, a protocol was signed on cooperation between the educational departments of our cities.

The Government of the Futian District made a proposal to the teachers of the city of Togliatti to participate in the academic excahnge program of learning the Russian language in the schools of Futian. According to the results of the competition, organized by the Department of Education of the Togliatti City Administration, two project participants were identified: Tatiana Alekseytceva, a teacher at gymnasium No. 38, and Elena Bychkar, a teacher at school No. 70. Teachers arrived in the city of Shenzhen and began to work in schools in January 2018.

By decision of the Government of the Futian District, teaching is conducted at the high schools of Shenzhen Futian Shiling Primary School and Yitien Primary School Futian District Shenzhen.

The teachers from Togliatti are actively involved in the life of their schools, get acquainted with the ancient culture of China, make the first steps in learning Chinese. Teaching is conducted for different age groups of students. In addition, open lessons are held with the participation of parents and colleagues. In the new school year, in Yitien High School, the parents of students expressed a desire to learn Russian. 2 adult groups were formed. Among those who wish, there are school teachers, parents working with Russian companies, and just want to learn more about our country.
