A new production of medical devices has been launched in the SEZ "Togliatti"

The products are planned to be supplied to public and private medical institutions, as well as to enterprises in the field of household services.

Today we are launching the largest production of synthetic nitrile gloves in Russia. Before that, we did not have such a production in the country, this is a significant contribution to import substitution, - said Denis Manturov. - Before that, our production capacity was a little less than 50 million pairs of medical gloves, while these were latex gloves, made of natural material. In this case, an artificial, nitrile material will be used, supplied by our Russian company Sibur from the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Thus, we must increase the volume of production by 3.5 times.

Despite the challenges of last year, the economy of the Samara Region, primarily due to the unprecedented support measures that were provided by the Federal Government, the Ministry of Industry and Trade on behalf of the President of the country Vladimir Putin, showed a decent result in these very difficult conditions, the volume of investments last year, according to preliminary data amounting to 270 billion rubles, this is a vivid evidence, "- said Dmitry Azarov.

To control the construction of industrial buildings and the launch of resident enterprises, the minister regularly visits the SEZ. During his last working visit to Togliatti, which took place on March 11, Dmitry Bogdanov inspected all factories under construction and ready to open, including the Samara Medical Device Plant. It should be noted that Samara plant of medical devices is not the only enterprise that will open this year in the Togliatti SEZ: by the end of 2021, 4 more production facilities will start operating here.

This is a unique enterprise, there are no analogues to it in Russia today. Samara plant of medical devices will take from 3 to 5% of the Russian market, we are already working with investors to expand production so that products can be fully localized in Russia, Dmitry Bogdanov said at the opening of the plant. - Governor Dmitry Azarov pays special attention to supporting enterprises, creating comfortable conditions for investors. Today the Samara region is increasing the pace in this direction. In 2021, we plan to launch several large factories. In 2020, 10 thousand new jobs were created, this year we expect to overfulfill this plan by 1.5 times, the minister added.

It should be mentioned that according to the results of the 6thNational Rating of Investment Attractiveness, the SEZ took 3rd place and entered the TOP of the most attractive sites for investors in Russia. At the same time, the SEZ was in the top three in terms of the dynamics of the number of residents. Now in the SEZ "Togliatti" there are 26 resident companies from 9 countries of the world with the amount of declared investments of 24.9 billion rubles and a plan to create more than 5 thousand new jobs.
