Samara region has strengthened its position in the ranking of scientific and technological development

RIA Rating has published the results of the scientific and technological development of the subjects of the Russian Federation by the end of 2020. Samara Region, as in 2019, entered the top ten regions, taking 6th place. The final index of the region was 60.64%. Federal State Statistics Service indicators were used as initial data for the analysis of scientific and technological development of the region, characterizing the state of the sphere of science and technology in the regions: the presence and characteristics of the material base, which is the foundation of scientific and technological progress, the presence and characteristics of human resources involved in the field under consideration, as well as the effectiveness and scale of scientific and technological activities. The final value of the rating is calculated based on the analysis of 19 indicators combined into 4 groups: "Human resources", "Material and technical base", "Efficiency of scientific and technological activities" and "Scale of scientific and technological activities".
