3.8 billion rubles will be invested in the development of two new projects in Togliatti
17 January 2022
On January 14, at a meeting of the expert council of the Special Economic Zone Togliatti (SEZ), chaired by the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Samara Region Dmitry Bogdanov, the applications of two companies that will become residents of the investment site were approved. One of the potential residents plans to build an enterprise for the production of liquefied natural gas in the region. The Investment Promotion Agency of the Samara Region (IPA) accompanied this project from the stage of site selection for the project implementation. The choice was made on the Togliatti Special Economic Zone, where residents can save up to 30% of capital expenditures on construction, as well as significantly reduce the launch time. The opening of the new production facility is scheduled for autumn 2023. Creating the most comfortable conditions for investors is one of the key areas of the Leadership Strategy, developed on the initiative of Governor Dmitry Azarov together with the residents of the province. As the head of the region noted earlier, rapid economic development cannot be ensured without the implementation of large-scale investment projects. In the first working days of 2022, we held an expert council, during which two applications of potential residents were approved at once, - said Dmitry Bogdanov, Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Samara Region. The conditions for investors who place their enterprises in the SEZ allow launching new production facilities as soon as possible: these are ready-made land plots, administrative support, tax and customs benefits. Residents are not charged for the purchase of capacities, they have the most favorable tariffs for utility resources. Today, Russian and foreign companies have almost completely occupied the first and second phases of the investment site. Due to the high demand for the SEZ, we are designing the third stage, the area of which will be 154 hectares. We will start construction this year. The expected cost of new projects will be 3.8 billion rubles. The companies intend to employ more than 180 employees. The Samara Region is one of the ten leading regions in terms of investment attractiveness and is one of the most developed industrial regions of the country with a diversified economy, an established market with developed cooperation chains and a favorable geographical location. Favorable conditions have been created in the region to support and assist investors, and effective tools are in place, - comments Sergey Nikitin, Executive Director of the Investment Promotion Agency of the Samara Region.
