The second Festival of Chinese Culture in Togliatti

On February 2, at the site of the Gymnasium No. 38 a competition was held as part of the II Festival of Chinese Culture, dedicated to the celebration of the Chinese New Year.

The organizers of the competition were Gymnasium No. 38 and Institute of Oriental Culture. The competition was attended by creative teams and students of Togliatti schools who studying Chinese. Participants performed competitive artworks and performances in different categories: "National songs and dances", "National costume", "Artistic and arts and crafts".The winners received commemorative diplomas and souvenirs from the Gymnasium and the Institute of Oriental Culture and were invited to perform at a gala concert dedicated to the celebration of the Chinese New Year.

On February 5, the Aquarelle shopping center hosted a gala concert of the II Festival of Chinese Culture. It was attended by students and teachers of the Institute of Oriental Culture and the winners of the competition among schoolchildren studying Chinese. The first Festival of Chinese Culture was held on January 30, 2020 at the site of the Gymnasium No. 38 to develop cooperation with Chinese sister cities and promote intercultural communication among students of secondary schools. To date, 4 general education schools in Togliatti conduct classes in Chinese. Traditionally, with the support of the Institute of Eastern Culture in Togliatti, events are held dedicated to the celebration of the Lunar New Year during the Spring Festival in China.
