31 March 2023

Children and youth festival of journalism and screen creativity "Volga-Yunpress" brought together young correspondents and youth media representatives from all over the country in Togliatti. About 300 children and teenagers take part in the festival every year.

Participants from different parts of Russia came to Togliatti from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kursk, Vladimir, Severodvinsk, Kaluga, and Yekaterinburg.

The main goal of the festival is to create a platform for the development of media competencies and the creative potential of children and young people aged 10 to 17 years. For 4 days of the festival, the organizers offered the participants to try their hand at creative business trips to the iconic places of the city of Togliatti.

This year, young correspondents and filmmakers visited the Park Complex of the Technical Exhibits, the Alliye Parusa youth camp, the Garibaldi Castle, the Lada Media TV studio, the Palace of Children and Youth Creativity, the Volgar Sports Palace, the Avtograd Community Center and other locations. They have prepared their own TV spots, short feature films and commercials. The jury members and speakers of the festival are leading figures of art and journalism.

Among them are director Evgeny Sokolov, head of the VGIK directing workshops Vitaly Kalinin, actor Egor Salnikov and journalist Mikhail Chebonenko. The Volga-Yunpress festival is organized by the Samara regional representative office of the League of Young Journalists with the support of the Yunpress creative association.
