The Festival "Zhigulevskaya Mile" is considered to be held in Togliatti

The Zhiguli Mile festival is an analogue of the Baikal Mile race, which is a traditional event for residents of Eastern Siberia.

Fans of extreme sports gather together every winter to identify the fastest one on ice. The races involve various vehicles, which are build for ice tracks.

In the winter of 2024, it is planned to hold these competitions on the iced surface of the renovated embankment of the Avtozavodsky district. According to preliminary data, up to 120 teams can take part in the Zhigulevskaya Mile, which will become an absolute record in the history of these competitions.

The reason for this summary is the convenient location of Togliatti for all participants. A distinctive feature of the Zhigulevskaya Mile will be a route equal to 1433 meters, the length of the main custruction line of the AVTOVAZ plant, which is the main partner of the project. In addition, the traditional Baikal Mile will remain - 1642 meters, as well as distances of 1/4 and 1/8 miles in singles and doubles. Today, the Togliatti city administration discussed security and organization of the event.
