Free excursion at Shlyuzjovoy microdistrict

The excursion will be organised by students and teachers of the Togliatti State University and a group of students in the field of Tourism and excursion business Institute Napravo.ru, together with children and youth of the Shlyuzovoy microdistrict. They will show the historical buildings of Stavropol-on-Volga in the 1950s and introduce residents to the features of the Soviet neoclassical architectural style.

The most impressive part of the route will pass along the embankment of the microdistrict with views of the Zhiguli Mountains and the hydroelectric dam. Immersion in the atmosphere of the middle of the XX century will provide a fascinating narrative about the construction of the hydroelectric station named after V.I. Lenin, about the labor exploits of the power plant builders and the leaders of the great construction project. In addition, tourists will be able to see a collection of photographs of the architectural structures of the microdistrict, taken in the 1950-1960s. and also take part in a quest to better remember the material.
