New prospects for tourism in Togliatti to be established after the first informational city tour

On September 27-29, 2014, the first informational tour for tourism organizations was introduced within an event program of the World Tourism Day in Togliatti. For three days the representatives of tour operators and media from Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, Izhevsk, and Yoshkar-Ola have been visiting the city sites of Togliatti and its main tourists attractions. Among the participants there were the guests from Italy Thomas Pagani Lambri, the member of the City Council of Piacenza province, and Michele Maffini, president of the Association of Agro-tourism in the region of Emilia Romagna.

The informational tour started on Saturday with the presentation of the Nadezhda recreational center located in the heart of scenic forest area of Togliatti. The tour participants of enjoyed water-parks and other recreation facilities at Nadezhda.

After the presentation, the group had a journey to the suburbal area of Khryashchevka. The extreme marathon Khryashchevka Challenge 2014 was held there - a team contest with colorful fancy dress show.

Garibaldi Castle, the unique tourist object in medieval gothic style on the riverside of Volga, became the central attraction on the route. Russian and foreign guests were very impressed with the view of the building and expressed the opinion that Garibaldi Castle is one of the most interesting places for tourism in the region.

In the afternoon, the Tourism Day Conference in Shamoni Hotel with the mayor of the city of Togliatti was held, where many other tourist attractions and festivals were presented.

The next day, the tour operators visited Ilya Muromec restaurant before travel to Avtozavodskiy and Centralniy districts.

The most interesting point on the route was the museum and park complex of K.G. Saharovs Technical Museum where more than 460 exhibits are presented.

Further on the tour, a presentation of Yubileinaya Hotel was carried out.

The final day of informational tour started with breakfast and presentation at the pirate theme pub and restaurant John Silver.

The guests visited the exhibition hall of AvtoVAZ museum, and also visited the design center and two production sites of the most famous automotive manufacture in Russia.

Yug Demarchelier, Executive Vice President for Production & Technical Development of AvtoVAZ welcomed the delegation of tourists to the production facilities.

At the end of the Tourism Days the representatives of tour operators had a lunch at Shveik restaurant of traditional Czech cuisine

The participants of the informational tour were very excited about the attractions they had visited in Togliatti. They expressed the opinion that the city could be very popular among Russian and foreign tourists.

It should be noted that such an event was held for the first time in Togliatti. Its main purpose is to attract tourists to our city through representatives of tourism industry in Russia.
