The representatives of Togliatti and Piacenza (Italy) singed the Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation

6-10 October, 2014, the representatives of the city of Togliatti including Tatiana Lesnyakova, Deputy Mayor for Social Affairs, Alexandr Rodionov, Chairman of the Commission on Social Policy of the City Council of Togliatti, Alexey Vostrikov, Head of International and Interregional Relations of the City Hall of Togliatti, Tatiana Burobina, President of the Institute of Italian Culture in the Volga region, Society Committee Dante Alighieri in Tolyatti, visited the Province of Piacenza (Italy) to discuss on cooperation issues with the Italian colleagues.

The delegation from Togliatti had a meeting with Tiziana Albasi, Councillor for Culture Province of Piacenza, Maurizio Parma, Councilor in the Province of Piacenza, Thomas Pagani Lambri, former Councilor in the Province of Piacenza, and Valentino Matti, President of the Association La Valtidone in Mercanti palace, where the parties discussed the events in a framework of Russia-Italy Cross-Year of Tourism.

In conclusion of the meeting, the Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation between the cities of Piacenza and Togliatti was signed. The representatives of both cities expressed the common confidence in issues of effective cooperation, especially in months before the Expo 2015. As was mentioned the event would be a ground for cultural exchanges between the two cities. Also there are more events expected to promote cultural exchanges in various forms and provide mutual tourism development in Togliatti and Piacenza.

The delegation of the Province of Piacenia is planned to visit Togliatti in December, 2014.
