French students attended an opening of new library at Togliatti Autoengineering College

Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 13:00 there was the opening ceremony of a new library at TogliattiAutomotiveEngineeringCollege. During the meeting, the mayor of the city of Togliatti met with students of the National School of Automotive Professions GARAC (France), who are trained in TAEC and Togliatti enterprises engaged in repair and maintenance of vehicles.

Sergey Andreev, Mayor of the city of Togliatti, Alexey Vostrikov, Council of the Mayor, Natalia Christ, Head of International and Interregional Relations, a State Duma deputy Catherine Kuz'micheva, representatives of AVTOVAZ as well as distinguished representatives of the city and Samara region took part in a round table at the Colleges new library.

December 2014, AVTOVAZ donated to the College a collection of more than 17,500 scientific and technical books for library. Such a number of technical books could not be found in other libraries of educational institutions. The collection includes 7 shelves of unique reference books on the automotive, mechanical engineering, metallurgy and other industries that will help teachers and students in training.

Also as a part of a new phase of an international project in the field of vocational education "Volga-Val d'Oise", 3 students from France will do practical work in enterprises sales and service network of "AvtoVAZ", namely of "RONA" and LLC "Viking" from 2 to 27 February/

In addition to professional training program the students will visit AVTOVAZ, TechnicalMuseum, and Technopark "ZhigulevskayaValley". They will have a city tour and a meeting with students of secondary vocational schools, and participate in other events.

In 2015, within the project "Volga-Val d'Oise" there is a number of exchanges of students and teachers from Togliatti and French educational institutions planned in April, September and December.
